Clinical trials

A wide range of clinical trials are being performed in different centres worldwide with the hopes of finding an effective treatment to manage brain stem gliomas. Clinical trials tend to focus on one or several of the following variables:
-Modification of dosages, cycles and administration times of drugs and treatments that are already well-known

-Administration of new drugs to test their safety and efficacy.

-Testing of alternative ways of administering drugs in order to ensure that they reach the area where the tumour is located (basically inserting cannulas or catheters that direct the drug directly to the brain stem).
